Preliminary poster for "The Smashing Pumpkins" concert in Denver

Simone was given the task of painting the official Smashing Pumpkins poster image for the Denver concert of "The Official Spirits On Fire" tour. The concert by the iconic U.S. band formed in Chicago in 1988 was held at the Ball Arena on Nov. 7, 2022.

The original painting is made in acrylic on canvas board and to create it Simone was inspired by the imagery of the legendary "Mellon Collie and the Infinite Sadness" cover, but also by the great masters such as Moebius, Sergio Toppi and Brom, his constant influences.
